The agency would never allow him to reimburse his staff with merit pay, but he longs for the day when they might change their mind.

He is responsible for over 40 clinicians, none of whom receive direct supervision except twice per year, when he gets to watch them work with one patient,who the clinician chooses.

Still, he believes he has a system in mind that will allow him to “grade” his staff. His criteria would include:

  1. Productivity
  2. Supportive Documentation
  3. Adherence to Policies/Standards
  4. Patient Satisfaction

Isn’t there something missing?
