Showbiz

Boy, showbiz…sometimes it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. They put words in our mouth, costumes on our back and then they turn us into anything they can dream up.

As I was watching Reading Rainbow with my son the other morning, I heard Lavar Burton (the show’s host) speak the words quoted above and it reminded me of this therapist.

She was the director, writer and producer of a one-man-show. The only problem is that she elects to have the patient do the acting.

Her patients must be frustrated being type-casted.
